CARE GUIDE
Each Torivana piece is crafted from natural materials and designed to be worn and cherished over time. With mindful care, your hat will maintain its shape, texture, and elegance for years to come.
Toquilla Straw Hats
Toquilla straw is lightweight and refined, but sensitive to moisture. Avoid rain, high humidity, and prolonged exposure to water. If your hat becomes slightly damp, allow it to air dry naturally in a cool, shaded area. Do not use heat sources such as hair dryers or direct sunlight, as these may alter the shape or weaken the fibers.
Wool Hats
Wool is naturally resilient, but still benefits from gentle care. Avoid soaking or heavy rain exposure when possible. If your wool hat becomes wet, reshape it carefully and allow it to air dry at room temperature on a flat surface or hat stand.
To maintain its appearance, gently brush the surface with a soft-bristle brush to remove dust or lint. Avoid excessive rubbing or harsh cleaning agents.
Storage
Store your hat in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Whenever possible, keep it in its original box or on a flat, stable surface to help preserve its structure. Avoid stacking heavy items on top of your hat.
Handling
Always handle your hat by the brim rather than the crown to maintain its form. Proper handling ensures long-lasting structure and wearability.
Natural Embellishments (Tagua & Details)
For pieces featuring tagua beads or other natural accents, avoid contact with perfumes, oils, or harsh chemicals to preserve their finish and color.
General Note
Natural materials age beautifully over time, developing character unique to each piece. With proper care, your Torivana hat will remain a timeless part of your wardrobe.
